Because we expect them to win at the next UK election, or at least be part of a coalition. We are sucking up to them now, so we don't lose our jobs in the future.

If you look at the current predictions, the SNP 2nd vote is 31% and it's estimated to get 1 list seat - That is a lot of % for not a lot of seats
