I confess I'm not familiar with Mr Momo's body of work, but he's told Instagram the Rubicon Festival - and with it Kanye's appearance - is off, according to the Slovak Spectator.

Space lasers shining from TV towers are notoriously difficult to capture on camera.

“Seatbelts are a legal requirement on this bus and you’ll be well advised to wear them… not least because I’m a terrible driver.”

I don’t miss an awful lot about the UK but I do miss the humour.

The Pilsner Urquell brewery. One of my favourite places in the Czech Republic.

What am I saying… In the world.

As EU leaders hold a war council in Brussels, the deputy leader of Robert Fico's Smer party is in Moscow, along with Fico's adviser on the rule of the law.

They're there to (checks notes) ... meet the head of Russian civil intelligence, Sergei Naryshkin.

Stansted. Has he not suffered enough?

Slovak PM Robert Fico has said the "doubles team of Trump-Putin" has defeated the EU-Ukraine "in straight sets: 6:0, 6:0, 6:0."

Posting on Facebook, he made the comments alongside a photo of him with the Russian leader from their December meeting in Moscow.

If Robert Fico thought he could deter pro-Ukrainian, pro-EU and anti-Putin Slovaks from demonstrating with talk of a shadowy plot to bring about a coup d'etat ... well once again he seems to have failed.

If anything the protests are growing, says @dennikn.bsky.social

Really looking forward to the Prague launch of @bctallis.bsky.social's new book + discussion with Tomáš Kopečný.

Ben is one of our most clear-headed thinkers on the Ukraine war & and Europe's security.

Tomáš is one of the driving forces behind the Czech ammunition initiative.

Don't miss it!

This is how it starts. My son’s smartwatch. He’s supposed to be in school in Vinohrady, Prague 2. Not in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province.

Nah we’ll just put some bollards on the crossing. Trust us - there’s no way anyone will even try to park there even if they could get past them.

All the analysis is understandably focused on what next for Syria but I can offer this observation:

The video link between London and northeastern Syria appears to better (both audio and video) than trying to WhatsApp my brother in Didcot. From Oxford. 🤔

Approaching events in Syria with my usual (and possibly naive/over-optimistic) view that what's bad for Putin can only be good for Ukraine/humanity/us. We'll see I guess.

‘The great slave market of Prague.’

Was quite taken aback at these two paragraphs. I doubt my kids are taught this in their Czech history lessons.

I’ve travelled. I’ve eaten Inca corn in the Andes and Xiao Long Bao in Shanghai. I’ve had shawarma in Doha and htipiti in Greece. And Italian. Lots and lots of Italian. Including in Italy.

So: lasagna. Most boring dish in the world. Frozen from M&S or fresh in Turin: Boring.

Change my mind.
