Fun fact: the NTSC-U & PAL versions of *Sonic 3D* enable debug mode when you press "C".

A counter tracks this sequence and sets a flag, but then the game ignores the flag!

Here's Sonic's portrait in the PlayStation 2 "Sega Ages 2500" version of Fighting Vipers. He doesn't seem to be playable, alas!

Tails doesn't have a similar portrait, AFAICT. The game has strings referring to "METAL", "EGGMAN", and "SUPERSONIC" though.

What's with the door that sometimes opens when you finish the Puffy boss fight? Why does an object sometimes fall out? Is this mechanism missing in Christmas NiGHTS?
