Going just fine here on the West Coast???

I read this book 30 years ago and it still has a place in my consciousness. I work in a used bookstore and it still attracts interest. Despite the premise, consciousness arising suddenly at the time of the Iliad, being far-fetched. Jayne’s case is intriguing, worthy of a re-read.

The Neapolitan quartet of books from Elena Ferrante popularized this international explosion, but Latronico brings so many other writers into view. And their books ask questions about what is a global voice.

What a brilliant excoriation of David Brooks. Thank you Ann Patchett. And it’s all in-service of celebrating literary fiction.
