Something really abhorrent might have happened at SCOTUS just now — beyond the obvious even.
Normally when SCOTUS denies a stay of execution, they also deny the accompanying cert petition. They did not do so tonight.

Professor Levy is one of the best teachers I had at LSU Law. In the last three months, a professor at my undergrad and my law school alma maters have been put on leave for allegedly criticizing the administration. I’m truly terrified.
