We added a terracotta breeze block wall between our entry and living room. But I ordered enough extra (accounting for irregularities and breakage) that I have 45-50 blocks left.

This was said in jest. But I just came across a TT video where someone did this with LeCreuset ceramic.
So, just so we are all clear, you cannot use glass or ceramic on a stove top. And if your glassware is soda glass instead of borosilicate, extreme temperature changes can cause failure.
