The White House put out a statement saying that there has never been a bigger crowd at the US Open—noting that 350,000 people are there—and that Alcaraz and Sinner have both announced that whoever wins the match Trump gets to keep the trophy.

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.
