Aroma has all the morning-after peaty campfires. Taste is nicely balanced between savoury smoked baconism and sweet mapled honeyness. While I can’t help wishing it had a fuller body, this is a flavoursome beauty with true character. Yum!

The American Southwest via Canada. Aroma is a huge zingy cloudburst of jammy fruitage. Taste is bigly acidic (pass the Rennies!), has a berry-like tangyness from the added prickly pear, and a lip-smacking tartness. A sour beer that doesn’t mess about. A boldly enjoyable sipper.

Aroma is a bubblegum noseblast. Taste is a banana butty with a slight hint of clove. Clean finish. Body is a little thin for the style. I wouldn’t say they’ve nailed this but it’s a very quenchly hefeweizen.

Grainy rusticity on the nose. Taste has toasty maltage and a generous squeeze of orangey lemon, washed over with a light yeasty funk, finishing dry with a peppery bitterness. A textbook ‘straight’ saison. I like.
