SF Bay Area Branch of the Industrial Workers of the World, celebrating 120 years of radical grassroots unionism. APTP; Peet’s Coffee; City Lights, Moe’s, and Copperfield Books; Urban Ore, Caliber Schools, Berkeley Ecology Center… and your workplace?
ICYMI APTP management has been lashing out online at anyone who tries to hold them accountable for union busting. You can infer how toxic a workplace APTP is by the way management has been engaging community members. 1/5

Last Wednesday @antipoliceterrorproject fired two of our union members abruptly in clear retaliation for unionizing. Please donate today to support our comrades (LINK BELOW) and send emails to aptpinfo@gmail.com demanding their reinstatement. Shameful! www.spotfund.com/story/a279c5...

We know folks have been wondering. Here’s our election update!

We are the union. The union isn’t some third party — the union is us! The workers whose labor makes our programs run and who have sacrificed so much to help make APTP what it is today. The union is about having each others’ backs and standing up for our fellow workers everywhere!

Workers with unions have better wages and benefits than non-union shops — but that’s not all. Collective bargaining will give us a chance to improve our working conditions in non-economic areas too — from remote work policies to professional development to a 30-hour week. 1/2

All workers deserve a union.

We all deserve to have job security, workplace protections, and a voice in our working conditions. Without a union workers are “at-will” meaning they can be fired at any time for any reason. Without a union workers are vulnerable to abuses on the job… 1/3

Peet’s Workers: “Instead of raising workers' wages from the bare minimum that we're being paid, Peet's Coffee Inc., owned by the multinational conglomerate JAB Holdings, spent over $100,000 to break apart our union, and distributed misleading materials in an attempt to divide us. 1/3
