Exactly. The video goes into exhaustive detail about all the nasty shit JS pulled when the people he stole from tried to call him out on it.

He really knew how to rile up and weaponize his fanbase against people he wanted to silence or had a grudge against.

The thing is, Somerton is the one who made everything public. People tried for years to handle things directly, out of the public eye, and got nothing but public harassment from him and his fans in return. It took finally making everything public to get him to stop.

That way, you can engage in a kind of harassment by proxy; while maintaining plausible deniability, since you never said or did anything to explicitly threaten the target.

The line was definitely crossed. It's a tactic the far-right has enthusiastically embraced, "Stochastic Terrorism": instead of direct action, you attack indirectly through insinuation, dogwhistles, and other coded language; which encourages your less stable followers to perform the attacks for you.

Absolutely hate that plastic trash. Saw someone describe Funko Pops as "physical NFTs", and now that's all I can see them as. They're nothing but marketers weaponizing collection instinct, and the worst aspects of fandom culture, in the cheapest and lowest-effort way possible.
