If this was a video game, we would have stealth yeeted all these treasonous fucks by now . I'm convinced the people even tho horrified are still "too comfortable" to take matters into their own hands w civil disobedience . At this point it's a game of survival for me till I can leave the country.

One of my friends said wise words : we need to remember with Trump and the facist right there is no bottom . The only things that stops the fall is us . They will never stop and no horror will ever be enough.

At the moment I'm m staying on fb for my group communities in the arts and academia and to be a thorn in the side of facists. That's my privilege as an older lady of the paler skin - I realize not everyone can . Stay safe yall .

Sometimes I just have to come over here and take a break from the Horror's that are Facebook. I'm staying there out of pure spite and stubbornness to not be pushed out of my social communities right now. But there are so many awful people rearing their heads . It's disgusting.

Dear other countries : please know that many of us don't believe in the ideals of this new administration -we don't want this. They are going to try and turn other countries against us when we are going to need your help to save the climate , human rights, and democracy. Blame the right people .

There's reason many are disheartened about the impending need to leave Facebook . The older of us have been on it since the beginning and came over from places like myspace and livejournal - the reality is losing entire social groups /communities that keep us going and the exhaustion of rebuilding.

Messing something up or causing a bad situation and then sweeping in and fixing it is a tactic to make people think you aren't the bad guy. Don't be fooled. Abusers use this tactic. We will be seeing it a lot in the next four years.
