I needed a bookmark but the closest item at hand was a beanie baby crab.

We are expecting freezing weather so I am preparing by huddling under a blanket indoors with a book and a cat. @juliavee.bsky.social @kenbebelle.bsky.social

Taking a break this morning. I chose this book for the Storygraph reads the world challenge for Kenya. And yes I am using a ruler as a bookmark.

I have no book as I was trying to pull weeds and overgrown vines from the garden while listening to Age of Myth by Michael J Sullivan on audiobook. Duchess Matilda Catherine decided to supervise my work and make sure I hydrated.

I started this book during the season of Imbolc. If you want to know how it’s going, I just skipped over to Samhain. I spent the whole weekend on a grad school assignment but now it’s done and I can relax and reflect on nature, while ignoring weeds.

Last night of vacation and I’m starting a new book that I picked up at a used bookstore right before my trip. I’ve got a folded torn up tourist map for a bookmark and a complimentary nightcap from the hotel to go with it!

I saw an old friend of Lucretius today at the Carlsberg Glypotek in Copenhagen! @adapalmer.bsky.social

Vacation reading! I started this awesome book right before I left but I don’t regret packing a hardback book to haul around Europe! Nothing like getting back from a long day of touristing to have a nightcap and read about more action. @kenbebelle.bsky.social @juliavee.bsky.social

Beautiful weather today! It’s still hot but some of the humidity is missing. And I’m starting a new book! @jennlyons.bsky.social

Happy October! I’m starting the month with a new spooky book! This is another one I got at ALA, signed by the author! I have been looking forward to it for a while.

The weather has cooled off and I am back in my reading nook. This weekend I am reading an advance reader copy of The Salvage, which involves a shipwreck, underwater archaeology, and Scotland! (And many other themes!) Half way through and it is getting more mysterious and spooky with each chapter!

It’s too hot to go outside so here is a photo of my lunch break reading time at work this week. It doesn’t have plants or nature but on the plus side I can recommend the book to all of my coworkers! @itsamia.bsky.social

My reading spot for the weekend at @armadillocon.bsky.social . Not that I expect I will have time to hide in my room and read but I like to be prepared.

I built a reading book in my back yard because I like being outdoors and wanted to create a feeling of nature space at my house in the city. Then when I joined Bluesky I started taking pictures of my books in my reading space to make an online presence of cozy reading nature vibes.

Finally have time to sit down in my very overgrown garden to read one of the ARCs I got from ALA this year! And I am enjoying the suspense so far @victormanibo.com

With a busy summer of family trips, work, graduate classes, I haven’t had time to visit my reading swing with new books. Also I started fostering some kittens. Meet Carolina reaper, a sweet and spicy little kitten. Available for adoption.

Sometimes I judge a book by the cover. Also the title. When I saw “Tea” and “Pirates” with backgrounds of book shops and sailing ships I couldn’t resist and so far I have no regrets. I just finished treason and I am ready to dive into pirates. @rebeccathorne.bsky.social

Mothers Day in the US. It means different things for many people but for me it is peace and quiet outside, drinking ginger tea on my bench swing while enjoying fancy macarons and working on the TBR. The next few weeks involve revolution, fantasy, romance, and possibly a murder.

It’s cloudy and I hope it doesn’t rain because I have tea, toast, cheese, and another book. I’m trying to finish a series that I started over a year ago, and this one is fun because it involves sewing and magic! @rowennam.bsky.social
