You know, all the people who soiled their reputations working for Trump‘s first administration but aren’t working in his second have to be thinking right now, “Man, this buffoon is making us look really good by doing all the crazy shit we kept him from doing last time!”

Because they are evil, we must stand up to them.

But because they are also stupid, we needn’t be afraid to.

This is the equivalent of being asked if you will defend the right to freedom of speech & answering that you will “study the First Amendment.”

The treatment of the 14th Amendment’s protections & guarantees as optional rather than required is the consistent approach of rightwing lawyers & judges.
Padilla: Will you defend birthright citizenship as the law of the land?

Bondi: I will study birthright citizenship

Padilla: You're asking to be considered for Attorney General and you still need to study the 14th Amendment of the Constitution?

Yea but here’s the rub. There aren’t enough sheep like that for him to have won. No, he won with voters who knew he was lying and didn’t give a hoot.

All because we had a black president once upon a time.

This is always wrong. Including when it REPEATEDLY happened to each of us who opposed Trump. Including swatting attempts to my house. Including requiring security details.

None of these folks spoke up to condemn that then. Speaker Johnson was silent.

Twitter didn't gain relevance by being the biggest platform, it gained relevancy through the quality of the content and individuals. The main goal for everyone here should be to encourage global defender, media, and establishment accounts to transition to #BlueSky. That'll provide legitimacy.

Time to give @bluesky props. As I write this, there are 560 quotes and replies to the post below.

Of those only 4 call me names and give me shit. About 15 do the same towards Trump.

The remaining 541 are on topic and add value.

It’s a battle of political leverage. Who can use tariffs, retaliatory tariffs or sanctions to create more political pain for the other leader. Forcing them to capitulate or face undesired consequences.

How crazy would it be if China, Mexico and/or Canada initiated tariffs before Trump took office
From your standpoint as a businessman and manufacturer, is there any sense behind this? Especially now that other countries are threatening tariffs of their own in retaliation. But that doesn't make sense cause it would mean raising their own taxes.

1/ We're experiencing a huge influx of users, and with that, a predictable uptick in harmful content posted to the network.

As a result, for some very high-severity policy areas like child safety, we recently made some short-term moderation choices to prioritize recall over precision.
