On November 26, 1945, Charlie Parker, alongside luminary as Dizzy Gillespie, recorded "Ko Ko," a bebop reimagining of "Cherokee." This Savoy Records session was a watershed, spotlighting Parker's brilliance and bebop's ascent. "Ko Ko" epitomizes bebop's revolutionary essence.
