A friend I once worked with was an exceptional psychiatrist. Didn't start his psychology degree until he had 'retired' from a manual job. Was still going strong in his mid 70s.

Cancelling the loans is so ridiculous.

A large number of adults over 50 years old never had the chance to get further/higher education. It was normal to just start working when you left school.

4. My own journey is fluid so not giving up on IT.
I believe that my IT skills could also prove useful in the mental health field. Besides, I've been programming since the 80s as a hobby. Also looking forward to returning to writing and physical health training.

3. Moving back to mental health.
Before I started for the agency I was going to pursue a career in mental health I've had experience working at rehab centres and running mindfulness retreats. Looks like the world could do with more support for people struggling with mental health.

2. Last employer was better.
My previous employer would book us in for sometimes two or three different teams in a week. We were all actually consulted by the Devs on those teams. I went from doing that to stuck on one contract a lot of times with nothing to do.

1. Been working for an agency for the last two years.
They style themselves as a consultancy but really just provide bums on seats. My previous job really was a consultancy. This one kept me at the same place every day for almost the whole two years.

Was the boiled water from plastic receptacles or metal ones? A lot of kettles in the UK are plastic which I think might add to the problem?

Ah OK. Sorry that wasn't what you were after. It seemed to have worked for me before but the format of my files might have been different. Good Luck with it all.
