Nicknamed "The Wrangler" by the Astros broadcasters. He was part of the broadcast team when he became manager he was unconventional, going by instinct and was very successful his first few years. Unfortunately his luck ran out & his going against CW caused him to get fired after the team did bad.

1970 #Topps: #16 Charlie Metro, Manager-#KansasCity #Royals. The director of player procurement for the Royals, he became the manager after Joe Gordon resigned after his first season. Metro had a 19-33 record before being fired. He finished his career as a scout til 1984. #MLB

Absolutely! I got a nice bottle of Four Roses Single Barrell last year. If somebody gave me a bottle of Old Crow, though, I'd feel a bit insulted.
