A caturday tiger enjoying a sunspot here too.

Very interesting. I watched the whole video. I used to hack around radio bands in the 70's using a Geloso receiver like the one pictured here. It was a HUGE cathode ray tube receiver that covered the 10, 15, 20, 40, and 80 metre bands. It didn't fit in the palm of my hand, and barely on my bench!

You reminded me of a job I did weeks ago for a construction company promo video that rehabilitates old buildings. In this establishing shot I noticed there's an appealing garden-like terrace on the roof. Owners saw it as a value-added amenity to attract renters. There's a healthy growth of trees ...

Here's the Brompton #BikeTO group, and friends, about mid way through the ride on the Franceschini Active Transportation Bridge crossing over Highway 410 between Williams Parkway and Bovaird Drive, in Brampton Ontario. It was a wonderful November day.

An aerial view of the super dense residential neighbourhood of Toronto's Humber Bay, looking west towards the higher concentration of buildings, and east towards the stone "beaches".

No pogies, no studded tires, and no way I wasn't going to go for my coffee ride that day.

Here's one from a few days ago if you can make use of it. Getty won't take it because it's slightly blurry from the drone bouncing around in the wind.

It's 12 MB as I'm uploading it here, Bluesky might butcher it though. Resolution is 5280 x 2970.

Here's a still frame extracted from a video clip of the same location in south Etobicoke (Toronto) along the shore of Lake Ontario. This view is facing west.

I had to shoot a construction jobsite promo in Etobicoke. Here's a 20 second clip as I wrapped up. The Humber Bay Arch Bridge is in the background. It's a lovely active transportation corridor with a visible #BikeTO multi use path, part of the Waterfront Trail.

This is a low resolution version.

Doctor Darren Markland was a humanitarian through and through in every sense of the word. He rolled to a cadence so few individuals can understand, even as he tired to explain it to us in his musings.

Lots of U.K. military aircraft staged and departed from within Sweden. I see 3 heavy transporters, 1 recon, and 2 Apaches 🤔 ... active and hanging out in eastern Europe.

Also saw military transports land in New York a while ago, from Slovakia, Poland, and Australia ... probably UN business?

I have to mount two new Continental 25mm road bike tires on rims this afternoon. If you've ever used Continentals ... please send thoughts and prayers.

Once it spread green arms to sky,
shade for fields where seasons fly.
Now it stands, a weathered frame,
roots still whispering earth’s old name.
Life departs, yet seeds renew—
death becomes the soil’s bright hue.

Does riding 55 rural kilometres for coffee during a snowstorm qualify?

ROAR !
September 11, 2025 at 2:21 AM
Ah ha! Flashing lights! That's what the sign to the right of the stop line needs ... the one that says "stop here on red signal". Only 1 of 12 cars stopped and checked for crossing cyclists and/or pedestrians before proceeding. I recorded that after almost being hit there hours earlier.

Winter doesn't even begin in winter. Riding 55 kms in a snowstorm is doable, if the coffee places are worth it, or just for giggles.

BREAKING NEWS! ... But is it REALLY him, or is it memorex?

Many industrial and commercial flat roof buildings have solar panels here in Georgetown #HaltonHills Ontario. I counted 12 buildings with them, in condensed area. Top left centre, adjacent to the water tower in the last image, is a Loblaws Superstore. These are images from my stock media collection.

While Toronto Ontario doesn't even want to allow 6-Plex residential buildings, Georgetown #HaltonHills, on the west side of the GTA, is swinging for the fence with a new mid-rise. The downtown business owners must be licking their chops.

I rode 75 kms from Georgetown this morning, to Toronto, and toured around a bit, to participate in the #BikeTO Victory Rally and Ride in recognition of the court's ruling to prevent removal of bike lanes. At 361 University Ave now for 17:30 start. Had coffee on Bloor too 😁

A creeping vine that has made it way up through the centre of utility conduits fastened to the exterior of a hydro pole by the side of busy Highway 7 in #HaltonHills. The vegetation is disregarding infrastructure standards, laws, and bylaws, in pursuit of establishing its own vertical garden.

A 10 second aerial time-lapse video clip from a 90 degrees top down view hovering 120 metres above the intersection of Guelph Street (Highway 7) and Mountainview Road in Georgetown #HaltonHills #Ontario

The recording duration was 15 minutes to produce the 10 second clip.
