This comes on the heels of last week’s violent protest outside Wilshire Boulevard Temple, a violent attack against a Jewish family in Redlands, and anti-Latino signs posted right here in Warner Center Park—in our backyard. This is the normalization of hate and insufficient action taken to stamp it

Though a singular holiday cannot erase the wrongdoings of the past, we look toward our local tribes for guidance on how we can be thoughtful leaders who instill in our future generations the importance of respect and care for our land, and the contributions made by our native communities.

I have been in contact with LAPD and interfaith partners. This graffiti was removed and will not be tolerated—hate has no place in the West Valley. Please, report anything you see to 211 and call our local police— if you see something, say something.
