Ford has officially announced it will enter the Hypercar class in the FIA World Endurance Championship and compete for the overall win at the the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2027.

The new race car will be built to LMDh specifications.

Short lived jubilation from the NISMO / Nissan team. As OliverRowland muscled his way past Da Costa for the race lead on the restart, the safety car has been deployed once again, this time for an incident involving Mitch Evans.

Replay of the incident shows Beckmann making contact with Lucas Di Grassi in the Lola, which broke his front suspension. Beckmann is out of the car and with the car craned out of the way, we go back to green racing.
