Also - Trump pulls Stefanik's nomination because he's worried about losing a House seat in what was a >+20 district? And we're supposed to believe that Trump approval is at water? Something smells fishy.

I'm not sure I believe it. He's underwater on every issue except immigration. It's a mystery to me why that is so important when people are losing their jobs.

No, they are assets. There's no mistaking it with the amount of things that have been said over the years.

I have always been concerned that there is going to be fraud in the reporting of economic data with this administration.

That's US Russian Agent #4 speaking. Trump, Musk, Vance and Gabbard. If I were an ally, I wouldn't trust the US with intelligence at this point. It's basically like sharing it with Russia. We're now part of the emerging axis of evil.

It's very frustrating. It's time for gloves off. Decorum in this environment is not working. I think they're afraid of how mentally unstable he is.
February 27, 2025 at 7:35 PM
Which one are you referring to? The UK?

There's going to come a point crossed where the US becomes part of the axis of evil through actions taken. So far it's words only. I think they're preparing to do something worse.

It's why I cancelled my Washington Post subscription and my Amazon Prime membership. I order from someone other than Amazon whenever possible now, even if it takes longer to get it.

If you look at the podcast charts now, #2 right behind you is "Fall of Civilizations" podcast. I think people understand what is happening. It's still disturbing that there are so many right/far right podcasts scattered throughout the charts. There are no other pro-democracy ones anywhere near.

The problem is the disinformation mechanism in this country is out of control, and we have an administration much more actively going after free speech. Until something reaches a person's doorstep, they will deny it happens. There are even some that will even rationalize their own suffering.

I'm reminding people that in 1933 in Germany, over 40% of the vote went to the Nazi party. Winning an election doesn't mean you're right or that you don't have obey the law, domestically or internationally.

The Dow was down 750 points on Friday. I don't think that's enough yet, but I think come end of April when companies release their Q1 2025 results, it's going to be bad. I would love to be wrong.

He's going to need to stay in power forever as long as long as he continues to break laws. I have a bad feeling that this time he will be a war criminal, not merely a felon (which is bad enough). I worry if the US economy gets really bad he will do something Putinesque. He's signaled it.

As Bernie Sanders said, people need to take to the streets. If they start putting people in jail for protesting, FAFO. We need a leading voice right now and people are afraid. Would such a movement and a violation of rights of assembly get any air time, though? It's a nightmare.

There is irony in MSNBC reporting on this. Independent media is a major threat to corporate media. Do they realize that they (MSNBC) are part of the problem, along with all the other networks?
February 20, 2025 at 11:23 AM
They are also going to give a massive tax cut to corporations and billionaires. That is making the deficit bigger and there is no economic return on it.

I'm not sure what it will take before the public stops flying. I will be interested to see the US airlines' quarterly reports for Q1 and Q2 2025. I'm glad I don't need to fly anywhere as the FAA continues to devolve.

He hasn't even taken a step in that direction. He has, however, threatened our allies, changed the name of the "Gulf of Mexico" to the "Gulf of America," wasted water in California flooding farms, gone to the Super Bowl, Daytona 500 and golfed. He's also signed a bunch of stuff he was told to.

Nailed it.

This reminds me of everyone and their mother saying, "Ka-MA-la." Like she's some kind of bird. Anytime I heard that, I knew what they were watching. It was the worst kind of tell.

A question I have for Senator Warren. Who asked her to stay in the Democratic primaries in 2020 after everyone else withdrew except for Biden and Sanders? While I agree with her on policy, I'm not going to forget that she did that.

Before coming at me, I voted for Biden and Harris in 2020/2024.
