Yeah, although crazy spending by other teams make it really hard to compete. And we are not a big team. Really overachieving looking at our ground/capacity but with untapped potential.

I’ll take it as these failings are luxury failings compared to failings of the last 10 years (which are still good years comparatively).

Also complicated because we are waiting to see if clubs bid. The Eze deal came about after Arsenal and Spurs both got key players injured. Liverpool are trying to leave it as late as possible thinking we will back down.

That’s fair. A few relative big signings few years ago (Onana, McNeil, and over paying for Maupay) but not a lot more recently. But I would argue you haven’t got value for your signings for years. But would also recognise that Moyes might.

Everton have a history of paying big fees for players who don’t work out. Not sure that is what I want for Palace.
