Worst part? The nudity is all locked behind an insane amount of grinding, and when you 100% it to get the topless riders, they're rendered in graphics that would have been unimpressive on the PS1.

Gotta be some degenerates out there making custom mouse pads, right??

I saw this psycho a couple weeks ago who was so angry that he could not pass the person in front of him that he spent a good 30+ seconds swerving back and forth wildly inside his lane and like... what are you accomplishing, my dude?

I hope they die in a dildo truck accident to make the roads safer.

(Especially since it's also my work from home office, so this upgrade's subsidized by my work benefits.)

Oh good, hopefully I can pickup a Vivi for (relatively) cheap now. Pulled one at the peak of its value and sold it cuz I was probably never going to play it, which made me kinda sad because Vivi's such a cute character. Will feel a lot less shitty to have a pretty ~$30 in my forever binder.

There's a bug in the final area where you get a save point that you can use where ever you want... if you use it, it can trigger a bug that deletes your entire save file.

Literally just beat this a week ago, the environmentalist message is straight-up radical, even by modern standards.
November 8, 2025 at 11:49 AM
is just straight-up interpretation of pieced-together, unrelated verses from throughout the Bible and then tucked onto the apocalyptic imagery of Revelation.

I hate end-times bullshit, in case you didn't notice, lol.

They're also stunningly uncreative. If the Bible says that an army of demon locusts swarm the world, then goddammit they will make an army of demon locusts swarm the world instead of coming up with an interpretation of what that *could* mean. This is despite the fact that most end-times theology /3

fascinating compromise in that regard and basically a theological ass-pull. Left Behind has lots of stupid shit like that to make it "work". My favourite being a time-skip where, in a couple years time, every country disarmed, and everyone (except Christians) gave up their religions. /2

yeaaah... from their perspective, I can kind of understand it. Tim LaHaye's a fundamentalist who believes we're all inherently sinful and deserve to go to hell... but also, God's all-loving so surely he can't send children to hell before they even have a chance to accept God, right? It's kind of a/1

I think that they get to go to heaven anyway tho because age of accountability still stands.

I believe it's 13 in the Left Behind books. There's actually a young adults spin-off series and one of the characters is very young (they also die fucking horribly if I remember correctly).

Kids also get born post-rapture, so you get scenes with children pledging allegiance to the anti-Christ too.

God's Not Dead's honestly pretty boring. God's Not Dead 2 at least has the good grace to be a trainwreck.

Y'know you're now gonna have to respond to the "did you fuck the octorok?" comments sooner or later, right?

He's probably like Jedi (since they're also based on traditional eastern philosophy), where it's considered distasteful for them to use their powers for mundane things, hence why we rarely see them being used. He just throws them out when it's time to murder someone or reject Rachel's advances. ;P

Yup, looks like landlord shite. :/
November 6, 2025 at 3:15 AM
Wait... is Drake of the 99 Dragons basically the real BloodRayne successor? BloodRayne 2 ditched the first game's engine and gameplay, but Drake looks super similar to that first BloodRayne... (Might also explain why it was shite too.)
November 5, 2025 at 12:15 AM
Maybe, but it can be a worthwhile perspective for a non-fan to try a game and see if it has suddenly started to click, and why that might be (changing tastes, innovations, accessibility, etc). Monster Hunter is probably a good example of this with its years of refinement and innovation.

Arguably the best moment in DOA...? Trying to think what could legitimately top it.
November 5, 2025 at 12:03 AM
That remains to be seen. The general audience makes up the bulk of spending on any movie tho, so if live action anime becomes the new super hero/video game/etc craze and actually resonates with them, it could be massive.
