Things I learned last night: Hugo awards are HEAVY. I was honored to be one of the ushers at last night's Hugo awards, and my arms are definitely sore today. Still, it was worth it, to get to be a part of honoring so many people I admire!

I allowed myself to be upsold at the liquor store today. Instead of the merely okay rye I planned to get, I ended up with an excellent one. I find that I cannot regret this.
