ASA 2025 in Chicago was my best ASA conference experience since 2019. I was honored to be a panelist in two sessions:

Honored to share that our paper, co-authored with Professor Angie Chung, “The Reconstruction of the Cosmopolitan Imaginary: Chinese International Students during the COVID-19 Pandemic”, published in @socioinquiry.bsky.social, is among the Top 10 Most-Cited Papers of 2023!

Like many friends, peers, and colleagues, the inspiration from sociologists like Michael Burawoy is the reason I am where I am now. 不知为何，他的去世首先让我想起在广州三元里第一次见李姐Thomas Fang Peng时的画面，记忆犹新，差不多快十年了。后来我们在学而优书店讨论过“naive式的美好”（naive beauty），在社区春节联欢晚会上和“反压迫戏剧”小组的老乡们表演了“来广州打工”的故事，最后在广州机场送他离开。不久后我也去了澳洲。

Although fewer students participated in the course evaluation this semester compared to previous years, reading their comments still made my Monday!
