Everyone on this site is clearly out for a witch to hunt. Today has made that more clear than ever.

I guess I could just be completely reading this wrong based on the public reaction, but I agree with you. It really just seems like he said multiple times in this interview he's not convinced of its usefulness, but they're exploring it and it's up to the artists and writers to choose to use it

Yeah the overwhelming sex jokes are generally not great. What I think it gets right though is really excellent delivery and timing. There were plenty of jokes that aren't funny on paper but got me just from the performance and chemistry alone. Ended up being a lot more positive on it than I thought.
