I know of one notable NPR reporter who purposefully majored in that because it teaches you HOW to think and form questions - she says it greatly helped her in her career. So maybe stop parroting right-wing talking points, and learn more about this.

When you criticize students for taking out loans to study philosophy you both sound like FoxNews talking heads, not like people with a measured, data-driven argument. We all benefit when folks can get an education and contribute to society. You benefitted from CA’s largesse.

Scott- I like you, this comes from a place of care. Please educate yourself about who holds student debt. 40% of holders are not able to complete their degree, so their income never increases yet they have crippling debt from which they cannot default.

Imagine if just one of them said, "Mr. President, I came here to support a policy related to our industry. But I cannot stand here and listen to you denigrate people in this way. It's racist and it's wrong. If my shareholders disagree, they can have my resignation. But I cannot be part of this."
