A "public hearing" before the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board without any member of the Board present is not a public hearing. Many lawfully present immigrant students are being misclassified and denied in-state tuition.

50 years of practicing immigration law and I have seen many horrendous things and treatment of immigrants. But deporting immigrants to war torn dangerous countries not their own shows how cruelty and xenophobia reach new heights

The Supreme Court ruled the Trump administration can now resume deporting people to countries that may not be equipped to protect them.

Deporting people to danger doesn't fix what's broken in our immigration system. It just further destroys asylum by denying people the right to a fair process.

Bridges v. Wixon, 326 U.S. 135 (1945). No deportation without due process. Even tho there is little due process in immigration court, while judges claim adher to these principles. I had the privilege of hearing Henry Bridges, a labor organizer, speak about his courageous fight against deportation.
