NSFW at times 😅😓
In the end they all go to the source: the Gemini capsule's windows. I've always wondered about their aerodynamics 🤔.

(I absolutely love Elson's painting. Those little hatches at the nose, how well defined the greebles are, and the glorious cockpit windows… 😩)

I remember the Your Computer magazine's article about it. It had the most futuristic design I had ever seen in a home micro.

Thunderbirds Are Go's Zero X crash. That poster always was epic.

At Vertica Casino's lowest levels, the pretense of artful spectacle and refined tastes is quickly lost to the bass and the lights and the flesh and the abandon.

There's no business like Hutt business.

Day 5 (yeah… 😞): Freighter

(Recycling an ancient 3D model of mine and futzing with some vapor and lens flares free stock footage. Many brands offer very nice freebies in their websites. These came from Rocketstock)

Day 3 (I'm late): Fighter

(Low effort 😅 playing with symmetric painting in Firealpaca, a free, nifty paint app)

Trying doing a few prompts of #Spaceshiptember2025

Day 1: Launch!
Singularity/Wormhole Drive spaceship igniting its engine. The exhaust blast radiates enough heat to melt the jet-facing crust of an asteroidal base while its populated surface is protected in its shadowed area.

I concur. Also, the scale of the animated lightning texture in its surfaces is really off and makes it a bit toy-like.

Maybe adding some haze might have helped sell the scale

(They should have added a view of Earth and the Moon with V'ger's cloud filling the space behind before it dissipates 😛)

Food for thought: www.archdaily.com/399329/ad-cl...

"…Plug-in City by Peter Cook. This provocative project suggests a hypothetical fantasy city, containing modular residential units that “plug in” to a central infrastructural mega machine…"

Something I liked a lot about Blade Runner's background hulking buildings was the way they seemed to defy gravity by having narrow waists and faces slanting outwards as they rise. I remember Syd Mead postulating new structural materials allowing for that.

Interestingly, Masamune Shirow's Appleseed shows Olympus city as a place which has a megastructural skeleton dominated by a few big arcologies, but the rest is a city with few skyscrapers: mostly medium-sized residential buildings, tons of parks, houses, walkable areas… Actually nice and livable.
