Finally got a decent shot of this one, out and spread after feeding this afternoon.

Taksinus bambus got moved into a slightly-more-permanent enclosure; since this was a “surprise” get, I hadn’t had the enclosure on-order, so it only arrived today.

And the Selenocosmiinae sp. ‘Bloody Red’ (or ‘North Luzon’, the naming is inconsistent) in its new fossorial enclosure.

The Pokey’s new exoskeleton is just about ready—and it’s stunning.

(Also the P. murinus again)

Some pics from tonight, including the P. victori, coming out fully where I could see it entirely for the first time in a while!

More pictures from this afternoon.

Gecko still growing, still stunning.

P. rufilata moved out of the top corner, I suspect because it wanted to flee the mealworm I managed to get caught in its web.

And the P. murinus being cute, might become orange bitey thing later idk

Anyway.

Picked up the order of new Ts this afternoon. Slightly out of the way, but significantly less so than the Roswell depot FedEx insisted on. Repeatedly.

All housed, the T. bambus temporarily but that should be here Saturday. Good bamboo hide in the meantime.

All the spiders got fed today, except Thaumantis because she got a big cricket the other night. Most of them have eaten! There are a few I’m not sure if they’re holed up preparing to molt, or what; also, the P. rufilata does not seem interested, but it was the most overfed of the bunch on arrival.

And the remainder

These have been renders of my current plans for the house in Timberon. Assuming I ever get that far. :V

Futzing around with some renders again, just because I can
November 2, 2025 at 12:03 AM
Wait what, even more

(There’s one more, but it won’t cooperate)

Also another shot of the Vietnam Silver

All were housed without issue, even the P. murinus. I’m telling you, I’m actually pretty damn good at this, those issues last week were flukes.

What do you mean you got more
November 1, 2025 at 2:54 AM
A couple highlights:

For all the fury the T. stirmi put into kicking hairs—multiple times since the last mention—it walked calmly right into the new enclosure. I still had on full PPE.

The H. himalayana was again the most difficult, but we anticipated this and came prepared. No escapees.
October 29, 2025 at 5:34 AM
In other news, we managed to re-house ALMOST all the Ts into their intended enclosures; the only one still in a temp enclosure is the P. irminia. (Well, they’re ALL temporary enclosures, but you know what I mean.)

Okay so, here's why finding sites exclusively by ZIP code is fucking terrible:

The first image is my ZIP code, super-imposed over a map of Rhode Island--to scale.

The second is the ZIP code area, zoomed out to show the "nearest" city any time anyone fucking searches: Roswell.

The P. victori was out tonight. Likely because we dropped a couple young roaches in there for it.

A Madagascar giant day gecko, not mine, but definitely male from that chevron. Still pretty sure mine’s male, too.

And Mackie climbing up the Ficus benjamina and camera.

Dang, mature male, looks like maybe a Tliltocatl vagans but it doesn’t have much time left at this point, maybe a year.
