Yeah I get that, but dogs really do like having a little cozy cave that's their own. If he gets too defensive, keep him in the crate until he's calm. Eventually the crate will be a place of calm and he might even seek it out to calm himself when needed

Oh yeah you gotta shut that down then. I'd recommend a crate if you don't have one so you can crate him when he gets too guardy. He gets to be somewhere safe and his own but he doesn't get to police your surroundings. Physically prevent the behavior as best you can so he doesn't "learn" it works

Whatever the new dog is defensive of (food, bed, toys), first give them some physical space for their things while they acclimate to your home. Slowly work up to humans sharing the space, and only later sharing with first dog. Defensiveness should start to wane in about a week or two, take it slow!

I find it sort of comforting when there's a string of posts I don't understand. The world feels a little bigger again and I consider putting my phone down for a while. Understanding every post I see is usually a bad sign for me or society at large.

In his defense, I can't imagine he's ever seen a worm your size before. Much for a frog to consider.

Mystery bulb!

If you break it does it smell gingery? We had some bulb things in our yard that had pinkish leaves and were some ginger cousin

"Free advice for after-ICE" is a little more descriptive but I am not sure if I like or hate the sort of sing-song cadence yet

If the seasonal decor doesn't work out, I suggest donating it somewhere. You can put some painters tape on it with a note that says "working led smart bulb" and maybe someone who wants that headache will be delighted to find it in a bin for 5 bucks

This was a banger, thanks for sharing!

Ah I see! No disagreement about species, just the usual perils of volunteer-based bureaucracy

Wait what am I missing, why aren't they sure if that's a pileated woodpecker? It sure looks like a pileated woodpecker to me

I just played the hell out of "is this seat taken" last week, an utterly delightful little puzzle game. Depending on your definitions of "timed" and "stressed out", katamari damacy might be great. Grindstone is also good for being very easy to pick up and put down anytime

Can I pay money for him to not print that

These two boys would make a fine pair of inventors/mad scientists. Little bit of soot, some miscellaneous doohickeys, hair going in all directions. Or maybe little music man/wizard of Oz style traveling peddlers selling wares. Or circus guys in little jumpsuits. They've got range.
