I did work briefly with FNB in the 90s. We had to work fast because at some point, in the course of serving, the cops would make us pack up. I'm glad it's gained traction. I do know for a fact there are various mobile groups still making sure people get a hot meal, and clothing or other necessities.

I absolutely agree that he's a narcissist. He can't seem to do any long term planning. He just throws things to see if they'd stick. But narcissist also like to play the manipulation game, even if it's an inane attempt.

Sometimes I wonder if it's a game with Trump. To seem addled and "harmless".

One, using it in the hopes to avoid prosecution.
"H couldn't incite anything, he's an idiot."
Two. A test of that whole thing of his where he could do almost anything and people would still vote for him.

One of my favorite places on earth. I got a very clear sense of how small I was in the scale things.

Funny you should say that. I was living in socal and just before I moved, my buyer was finding it impossible to find insurance. My house insurance seemed to keep sneakily trying to kick me off. Now I know why. Insurance is getting very difficult to get in Cali right now. And I was 2 hours inland.

I feel like Elon's midlife crisis is buying Twitter instead of a sports car and regressing to angry 20 something incel who's just discovered 8chan.

A lot of the mainstream AI fantasies focus on making certain professions obsolete, especially doctors, therapists, teachers and artists. It’s stupid but also interesting to think about why this is an object of desire.

True. But I could also take the more obvious risks off the table by being more careful at home. One truly epic case of food poisoning where I wished for death still haunts me decades later! I'm looking at you, tainted mayo!

Thank you for this.

First day on BS has been educational. I find out I've been not careful enough with rice and playing Russian roulette with food poisoning for decades.

Never attribute malice where stupidity would suffice? Or something like that.
