“Gear society to social need not personal greed”

Scots do.

BBC Scotland are beyond redemption in their quest to ensure Unionist hegemony and need to be consistently reminded of their responsibility under the BBC Charter.

@johnswinney.bsky.social - over to you.

They are indeed.

The ‘Prince of Darkness’ and his oily Machiavellian manoeuvres have never been far from all that is wrong in politics.

Remember, his “intensely relaxed about people getting filthy rich” comment.

Anas Sarwar needs to get in touch with:

Conservative Party Scotland - 67 Northumberland St, Edinburgh EH3 6JG - application forms available.

He will be more than comfortable alongside like minded people.

Lord Nicholas True, leader of the Conservatives in the Lords remaining ‘true’ to his and others privileged position as an unelected hereditary peer only proving the class system is an anachronism in today’s society.

His self interested stance only emphasises radical reform is necessary.

“More and more the House of Commons tends to become a putrid mass of corruption, a quagmire of sordid madness, a conglomeration of mercenary spiritless hacks dead alike to honour and self-respect."

He can rejoice in the glory of being the worst leader of the Labour Party in Scotland and that is saying something given the previous incumbents.

It’s not just the political dishonesty but the craven and obsequious deference to Starmer indicating a lack of backbone, courage and moral fibre.

The ‘Prince of Darkness’ and his Machiavellian playbook is never far from the centre of all that’s wrong with politicians and the political system

Was central to the heart and soul being ripped out of the Labour Party and who can forget his “intensely relaxed about people getting filthy rich” quote

I recall avidly watching all the videos and programmes of Fred and as you say, “fascinating, full of enthusiasm”.

According to Keith Brown it is a ‘rebuttal unit’ Jacqui. Where are these ‘hot tips’ to be found. I hear what you say but in my view the constant lies and anti Indy narrative does cause long term damage despite the recent Poll showing a decent lead.

SNP provide new update on party's 'research and rebuttal' unit
THE SNP have provided an update on their rebuttal unit, with only two articles published on this section of the party’s website...

Just another ‘has been’ political lightweight trying to remain relevant but she is too far gone in the eyes of the public to be anything other than a bit of a laughing stock.
April 16, 2025 at 10:48 AM
Agree Colin; not a particularly big shock given the valid points you make - as long as it isn’t any larger than 5 or so seats.
April 16, 2025 at 10:41 AM
Firstly, on Brexit generally and now this attempt to isolate UK even further:

“Fool me once shame on you; fool me twice shame on me”

Unless Starmer ‘grows a pair’ he is the front runner in the ‘shame’ stakes.

See link - article isn’t the current position then? I can only find two entries on the ‘rebuttal unit’ page which is what the site says. Article more than 1 year old.

Where is the SNP’s rebuttal unit?
During the leadership contest Humza Yousaf had pledged to create a “round-the-clock rebuttal service'

Yes, role separation is a must for many positive reasons.

On Swinney; he is actually doing a better job than I thought he was capable of. Far from perfect but decent imo.
April 15, 2025 at 11:31 AM
Yes Andrew. It needs SNP to ‘up their game’ to make the lead stick. Needs them to rediscover their radical edge and be bolder policy wise and the ‘rebuttal unit’ to identify a real ‘attack dog’ to neuter negative/lies by msm and not continue to surrender the narrative as they have done for years.
April 15, 2025 at 11:06 AM
Yes, George is a little off the mark in this article and doesn’t help with his loose contradictions. He is correct that inequality is a factor but far from the only one.

Must be all the disinfectant he is consuming.

Care to repeat that Clive

Clive - OK, I will

‘Scottish people have 2 clear choices

1 Union with a declining imperial power, ruled by hard-right, neoliberal English nationalists, or
2 Vote for Scottish indy and look to rejoin the EU, an emerging power with democratic institutions gaining in power'
