Agreed, but in Ottawa, the business community always fights for on-street parking. It would be hard to convince them. Bronson, bc of CarletonU would make a good option 4 dedicated bus lanes. Bank st, bc it’s the longest street, would benefit more from some form of rail, IMO. —@jogrady66.bsky.social

We really need the Bank Street O-Train Subway ASAP the core is becoming unmanageable with gridlock all over Bank
Let’s see some additional transit capacity in Ottawa:

Stage 3 O-Train extensions to Barhaven and Kanata?

Carling BRT/LRT?

Ottawa-Gatineau Transit Loop?

Bank St O-Train?

Rapid transit through Vanier?

Regional rail to Carp, Dunrobin, Carleton Place, Kemptville, Rockland, and Hawkesbury?
Some sort of infrastructure announcement at Corso Italia at 1pm today… might go check that out

The Bank Street Subway is a no brainer. Trying to get a bus on any game day at Lansdowne is a disaster. The subway would clear everyone out without crowding out those already passing through on the bus. 6 and 7 are almost always crowded to the max almost every trip on any given day/time.

I'm still unsure that I'd call my role "leadership".

Still...thank you.

I had an idea about an O-Train line running on or under Bank Street a decade or so ago. Others, independent of my writings, had bigger, further-reaching takes on the idea such as you describe. It's worth doing.
