Not ideal but I wonder if you could send the ‘31 but take back another lesser first. Like the Knicks ‘27 or ‘29 unprotected?

Could also do it this way and the Nets end up with a massive expiring. '32 swap gets it done maybe?

Bad Bucks teams have been giant killers before

NBA CUP REMATCH 😤

Wholly in bounds to wonder who told them what, when they were told, and the motivations of their sources. But these guys don’t lie. If they say it, someone told them.

The only way a team that thinks they can get Giannis trades with the Bucks is if the '31 or '32 FRPs are involved and they think they can just offer them back to us when Giannis is available.

If Giannis is leaving, I actually think you still do this. The Bucks don't have a first in '27 or '29 at all. They have one in '28 that will likely be #29 or #30. I'd rather kickoff the rebuild with 3-4 picks in the next two drafts than be totally in the wilderness until 2031.

ie, I'd rather Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu, PJ Washington, and Herb Jones instead of *just* Trey Murphy or Darius Garland or Markkanen.

If Giannis is staying, I think we have seen that this roster is not one star away. It's going to take a total overhaul. I think the team is better off next season with 3-4 guys who are worth mid-firsts or seconds instead of one big move that is deserving of the unprotected '31 FRP.

Just a few more assistants man. Just add a third row of coaches and it’ll work.

Heat can't even trade a pick until 2029. Best case scenario I think is getting all expiring money back and then selling our cap space in the off-season to get more picks. Best!

God I despise anything Miami can offer.
January 14, 2026 at 9:42 PM
Jump scare given how this off-season is going for the Loons.
January 14, 2026 at 9:10 PM
Yeah, I've shifted. It's time. Horst or Edens or whoever needs to put the big boy pants on and trade him to Atlanta or Houston or whatever.
January 14, 2026 at 5:26 PM
We also don't hear much about how Doug Christie or Brian Keefe are bad.
January 14, 2026 at 4:29 PM
tbf, the other thing that separates that list is that they either exclusively talk about the Bucks (Nehm) or are some of the best at covering the WHOLE league.

The other piece of this is that the Bucks are bad so there's just no reason to talk about much besides Giannis leaving in nat'l media.
