Helping our town to continue to thrive, with a strong sense of community and identity, and supporting improvements for those who live, work and visit here
Delighted to welcome members of The Scottish Parliament’s Equalities, Human Rights & Civil Justice Committee to Blairgowrie and to talk to them about work we're doing locally to address some of the issues around food poverty and fuel poverty. Thanks to Third Sector PK for organising.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – volunteers are the lifeblood of any community and we're very lucky in Blairgowrie and Rattray to have literally 1000s of volunteers who make this town a wonderful place to live, work and visit. Last weekend we hosted an afternoon tea to say thank you 🙌

5000 copies of the latest edition of our Hub magazine are being delivered to households in Blairgowrie and Rattray by volunteers – and thanks to the team at Nest Creative Spaces who made 30 delivery bags for them, their job has been made a bit easier and more sustainable!

We’ve had a really interesting and informative day at the 2025 @dtascotland.bsky.social conference today – lots of really good sessions that will help us with the work we do to support our town and community. Looking forward to Day 2 tomorrow!

It's Wednesday Lunch Club day! These social get-togethers in local supported accommodation are part of our BaRI Food Project that aims to reach people through food, reduce food waste and costs, and encourage growing more food locally. We’re not sure if it’s the cakes or the chat that's more popular!

Good meeting with Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust, artist and stone mason David F Wilson and Perth & Kinross Council’s greenspace team this week as we continue to look at ideas for the possible development of a riverside trail in Blairgowrie. Lots of exciting ideas but lots to put in place!

BRDT’s work is led by the #community for the community.

One example of this is our Saturday Lunch Club which is part of efforts to reduce social isolation, food costs and food waste.

Every Saturday a team of #volunteer drivers deliver soup and a cake to people in our community

Have you tried the BaRI Food Store yet?

Part of efforts to reduce food waste and food costs in the local community and encourage growing more food locally, the BRDT-run store sells in-date food and food which is at its best-before-date that the supermarkets cannot sell anymore.

Pop in and say hi
