We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – volunteers are the lifeblood of any community and we're very lucky in Blairgowrie and Rattray to have literally 1000s of volunteers who make this town a wonderful place to live, work and visit. Last weekend we hosted an afternoon tea to say thank you 🙌

It's Wednesday Lunch Club day! These social get-togethers in local supported accommodation are part of our BaRI Food Project that aims to reach people through food, reduce food waste and costs, and encourage growing more food locally. A new monthly veg growing course got under way at the weekend. The BaRI Growing Group is a collaboration between BiodiversityBlair, Rattray Community Garden and the BARI Food & Refill store and offers residents in Blairgowrie and Rattray a chance to get together and learn to grow veg from seed

Our community bookshop Booklore is run entirely by a team of dedicated volunteers with any surplus income generated by the sale of the donated second-hand books set aside to fund community projects in the town.
