I am grateful to not have this grief and my ability to support my son in his grief interrupted by my ex needing attention and causing strife and drama with abuse and meltdowns.
This is a hard time but it's hard in a normal and healthy way.

There is the hole in my heart losing a precious soul who loved my child so much to watch over him as he slept every night and claim only him, and then the heartbreak of my child's heartbreak, a pain I cannot "fix", to watch his grief over his loss.
