Join in, fight back, and defend Public Housing this Saturday, Nov 8th.

Seniors in our community are facing imminent displacement in this blatant land grab.

A $3 million campaign wants you to think ballot proposals 2–4 are about “affordable housing.”

In reality, they’d take power away from New Yorkers and hand it to the Mayor and their appointees—with no guarantee of creating truly affordable homes.

Vote NO on 2–4. #Election2025 #NYCVotes

"When you pull community voice out of the process - everything starts to crumble.

That's exactly what Ballot Proposals 2, 3 & 4 would do'"

Don't be mislead. Vote NO on ballot questions 2-4!

Vote NO on proposals 2, 3, and 4 - a real estate developer's Trojan Horse.

Proposals 2-4 sound nice, but they're actually a massive giveaway to real estate developers - expediting our community's displacement.

This chart from
@mtopp4bk.bsky.social 's video shows what would happen if Ballot Questions 2–4 pass.

There’s no guarantee of more “affordable” housing — let alone deeply affordable homes that Council Members can negotiate for, which we need to address NYC’s #affordabilitycrisis.

Don’t be fooled.

Ballot Questions 2–4 aren’t about “affordable housing” — they’re about shifting power away from the people.

Mayor Adams’ charter proposals are a real estate–backed power grab disguised as “affordable housing.”

They gut tenant protections, fast-track luxury development with no guarantee of affordability, and silence community voices.

Coney Island belongs to the people—not private profit!

Developers want to turn public land into a casino and sprawling private complex that benefits the few at the community’s expense.

When so much feels out of our control, there's still an opportunity for change.

This week, the Brooklyn Marine Terminal Task Force will again try to pass a flawed plan, delayed 3X, bc it puts private gain over public good.

Hey, @cmshahanahanif.bsky.social care to share receipts for this 'rejection'? Despite repeated requests, the community was NEVER invited to participate in the CBA. Your constituents deserve better. shorturl.at/4suOG

This compromise would be a win-win for our Council Member, the community, and, most of all, for the future of #affordablehousing in Brooklyn
February 3, 2025 at 1:56 AM
This proposal would DOUBLE the amount of affordable units while reducing the profit motive for speculators to buy up neighboring buildings and lead to a domino effect of displacement to existing renters.
