Fairly late in the book, I think maybe even the infamous sissy porn chapter, she’s talking about how we are all just acting on desires that are handed down to us, come in from outside (even/especially desires for power) and this is female™️

I ended up actually reading Females and I can’t agree with you more. I do think there’s something to her ontology actually, but the real thing is more like “doms are actually subs to the universe”?

I studied abroad in Wales for a year so I wanted to learn some Welsh. (It turns out I actually have some Welsh ancestry, but I didn’t find out until after I left—that side of the family thought they were Irish! American immigration is a real trip)

I don’t know! I learned Spanish and Latin in school as a kid and those were taught in a more grammar-first way. I don’t remember much of either years later but I did learn a lot at the time and it’s on me for not keeping up.

I really admire you for learning enough to write poetry! I spent some time trying to learn welsh on duolingo but it was really hard, I just couldn’t figure out the grammar without more structure
