I think there’s room for the fun reading too though—afaict she says if you have a desire, you’re not choosing to desire something, just embodying it (which is still a useful concept in less bleak ideologies)

I studied abroad in Wales for a year so I wanted to learn some Welsh. (It turns out I actually have some Welsh ancestry, but I didn’t find out until after I left—that side of the family thought they were Irish! American immigration is a real trip)
