Dice, dice everywhere!

This is off-topic for our account. Sorry.

Do you like the system we use in Sophstar, where new credits are unlocked as you finish plays of the game?

Or do you prefer free credits from day one?

We do like our unlock credits system a lot.

Does anyone enjoy Sega CD Silpheed? It has been a LONG time since I played it, but I have memories of its atmosphere being so awesome with the FMV backgrounds and the soundtrack with radio chatter and everything. And those flat polygons look great.

Gameplay was a lot of fun too.

Well..

IT DIED THREE TIMES, AND WAS REBORN TWICE.

Love those pictures. 2019, our programmer's wife took those 2 pictures, after he saw a completely bastardized Daytona USA machine in a mall and thought "I want to play that", hadn't played it in ages.

Finished 8th :P

Also surprised I wasn't rocking the long hair. Decided to fully drop it in 2023

By the way, you can get Sophstar on a 70% sale right now at the Playstation Store, don't miss it!

I also have a better keyboard now. I've always loved the wired Microsoft 200 Keyboard and used it for over a decade. But when I tried this mechanical one, I instantly fell in love.

My table ALWAYS has too many mugs... and I have recently played chess with someone from our testing team. :D

This is the main place where Banana Bytes games are coded.

Since we now have more than one programmer, not everything is being made in this office.

But yeah, it's the main office of Banana Bytes.

Oh, and that chair has been replaced for a better one, heh :D

I'd say actually Salamander, Space Manbow and Nemesis 3 on the MSX; Armed Police Batrider on Mame/Raine; G-Darius and Strikers 1945 II on PS1 are probably the runner ups.

Salamander was one of the very few games I used to play with my sister.
March 6, 2025 at 4:24 PM
Aleste 2, Star Soldier and Zanac, all MSX versions. I guess.

And then Star Force, Famicom version (NES version is different).

Star Force I only begun to love after I was an adult (MSX version is dreadful), and I played a lot of it on a 64 in 1 cart :)

Armed Police Batrider maybe is a runner up.

The girl in the white shirt won an award at a conference with a satellite launch simulator project, programmed in @gamemaker.io under the mentorship of our programmer here :)

Our programmer/game designer taught at a high school. In his spare time, he ran a voluntary project to teach game development. This was the 2013 class. Two of these students worked on Sophstar, another one is working on our current project, and at least three others are working as programmers today.

I mean, drunk and apparently also not seeing very well too. Why the need to be so close to the TV?

Also failing the A12 mission in the Cadet School mode. Tsc.

3 years ago, we had a party a week before launching Sophstar, to celebrate its launch.

Reportedly the game coder 1cc the game while drunk, and we had to delete its score from the online leaderboard. Heh.

Can't post more pictures because people weren't on their best behaviour that night.

Not enough discussion of THE FLY DRACULA and its importance to the Castlevania Lore on the best version of Castlevania to ever exist.

Did you know they made a real life sized model of the Dumont ship from Sophstar?

Below it's our programmer when he used to have long hair.

(And the first part of this post is a joke)
