Something that hasn't been really spoken about is that this stuff about purity culture isn't even the point, it's about reducing connections with other people from intimacy to understanding of the self. A population with no understanding is easier to control and manipulate.

Bluesky has the nsfw moderation that people have wanted for years w/ the ability to self-tag and opt-in/opt-out as desired. The main issue currently is that the auto-flag is a bit too strict on nonsexual imagery, which only happens as a system response to people NOT TAGGING THEIR NSFW. tag your shit
idk why "tag your nsfw" is even a controversial statement. it's not about censorship or being prudish, it's about the fact that i want to use this site on company time like a proper union man
