This doesn't seem right to me because FICA/MED is way too high. But it does illustrate one point - it is the W-2 employee who pays the bulk of the taxes. The people who own companies & investments (like Trump & Musk) are able to reduce their adj gross income to nothing by tricks & pay 0 in taxes.

This chart shows how much each state gets back for each $1 sent to the federal government. You will notice that most republican states are supported by red states. CA should sue to correct this inequity if disaster aid is withheld. We can only be charitable for so long.
