Thanks! Want a blackfoot or beetle but really don’t feel like putting all that work into a hard-shell body. I’ve been in “fiddly sticker placement town” for 2 weeks. Almost done!

I’m no expert. Usually thin to around 50/50 paint/thin. Lots of light coats. Needle position is all trial and error. Sometimes even changes in the middle of a paint session. I keep the back off my brush for quick access. hope this helps

Next up, something with less decision making while I devote energy to renovating the bath I promised the missus 10 years ago…. Won’t be done for a while cause I can’t fit these big bodies in my spray booth and It’s too cold to paint outside. #tamiya

Attempt 3… even with a fresh airbrush, new jar of x31, and clean jar to mix, it still backed up. Chunks visible on mix jar side. Guess it was just a bad color pick. Everything else I sprayed today was fine. Too late to change now. Whole thing will have to wait until I can source some paint filters.

Forgot how much of this hobby is CLEANING THINGS. Turns out I was at the bottom of a jar. Need to filter paint.

32 ford week whenever… Slow progress here and there. Tested Tamiya flat base with interior red because why not. Never be able to see details through those little windows anyway… looks good! Just want to see this thing together. #scalemodels

I was looking for a hobby change. On plus side, half-scratch-built headers coming along, everything is level with the chop and channel, the replacement hubs printed and are spaced right, and the pillars only need smoothing in a few places. Was getting ready to shelve until I saw it dry fit again.

32 ford weekly check in. There’s a fine line between productive challenge and frustration. I crossed it yesterday by a country mile. First full day of vacation and between 3 failed scratch build attempts at a distributor with plug wires and 3d prints for hubs popping off the bed… #scalemodels
