First lot of paint on the Pot Noodle Tower, and it's starting to come together. I'm going to keep it pretty drab, any colour will be subtle, and then lots of oil washes, streaking grime, rust effects and moss to finish it off.

Making wargaming terrain from absolute rubbish, sci-fi edition. Pot Noodle pot on a CD base with random stuff glued to it. Ground built up using filler. A few more details to add, some more filler and then sand on the base. It should look a lot better undercoated 🤞🏻

Not to mention that American votes influence electoral dynamics in other countries. We would prefer it not to be the case, but this country sets the tone.

The "why do you care so much about the NY mayoral election" takes strike me as pretty obtuse. The world's sole superpower is being taken over by fascists, and this was part of the struggle to define what the opposition to that will look like. That obviously has major implications for all of us?

4 Skaven Elites (i.e. Hearthguard for Saga), the old Advanced Heroquest models have a special place in my heart, and they were so much fun to paint 😍 Contrast paints work so well with the old models.

Next up in the "turning my son's toys into wargaming minis" project are an ankylosaurus with helmet(?!) and a Mechzilla? Robogodzilla? Brian?

For Anky, he won't fit on a 60mm base 🤨. I'm going to make the helmet more medieval, and add blades to the top, and then spikes to the tail.

The piece on the left was the top half of a Marauder Empire Reiksgard Foot Knight, that I tried to convert in to a cavalry model when I was 13. It was an anatomical disaster. 😖

Using some weird old Chaos Warrior legs (from the 80s), I'm hoping to create a new model.

Will it work?

OK, so I'm really pleased with this chap. P3 Coal Black is the main highlight colour and it's worked really nicely. The spines were highlighted up with AK Interactive Deep Red. 60mm base covered in bits of slate, flock and different types of tea leaves 😎

Absolutely this. I know it was a different time, but I studied Archaeology and since graduating I've had a (relatively) successful 27 year career in financial IT. University teaches you so much more than just your subject. If I'd studied computing or engineering I might not have lasted the course 😬
