Yes but it doesn't even prove that argument, and it unconvincingly breezes past the "it's the screens" argument by citing the growth in achievement gaps. And testing is still happening! I don't disagree that there are problems, but I'm skeptical whenever New York Mag ever writes about education.

Very interesting article, and it raises a lot of concerning issues, but it really doesn't suggest that *liberals* are to blame for the challenges and failures of our schools. It instead seems to show that everyone is failing to take the problems seriously.

The Wall Street Journal needs to issue a full retraction and apology to the trans community for this. Nothing less will suffice. They put us all in danger and recklessly put out incorrect information.

Missing the opportunity to educate the public about what Trump is really up to (controlling Dem cities in anticipation of 2026 elections) and exercising maximum control over every aspect of American life. And in the process setting up Trump to move on Baltimore & other cities next.

The actual Federal Highway Fund itself has been insolvent for years, all while destroying the property tax base of cities and counties every place it touches.
And don't forget municipal bankruptcies - usually blamed falsely on public employees - mostly arising from the long-term costs of car infra.
