Running into a BIOS bug when trying to install Aurora Linux (Universal Blue) on my drawing tablet. Guess I'll run Debian!

I was going to complain how crazy it is that Windows takes longer to update than to install (even right after running "reset this pc" (I wanted the drivers (odd hardware))), but now after a few hours and attempts, it's just not going to update. I hate windows. It makes me want to scream.

I'm going about my week and all is good, then BAM! cmake gets me right in the compiler-too-new! A sneak attack from within the "pip install". I'm going to go home to my Rust and Cargo playground and try to forget C++ for a bit...

IMO, long running progress bars without the option to see what exactly is being ran is one of the worst modern design decision in SW. Especially in OS updates. Seeing even a single line of technical info with the bar gives me so much more confidence in the process!
