Thanks for cc Camille🙏

Luca and I discussed the book yesterday a bit. As someone that is moving into leading one of platform-engineering teams - the timing for this couldn’t be better 🙂

“...in most companies there is a ceiling to what you can learn.

Also, in all products there is a variety of work to be done, from the extremely complex, to the extremely mundane.

A team with a variety of levels allows you to match people to work that suits their experience.”

"You should not sacrifice*" kinda sounds even better :)

I'm always thinking, we have limited time on this rock and how we spend it with those around us is what's most important.

Be a person that someone will call .. just because.

True indeed! 🙂

This was a really really good interview btw. Authentic as always, with bunch of advices.

As someone that is transitioning from eng management to platform engineering - found it super useful.

You hit the spot with this one Carlos! Great read.

What I'm surprised most is that any of these PM roles is less superior to others.

This is mostly the case with Project Managers wanting to be Product Managers.. because. Without realizing how powerful project manager role can actually be.

Great topic Gergely!

Here is one. How does pricing and/or costs control compares in Honeycomb with other solutions out there?

While we can get hyped with everything that nowadays tools can do, the fact is that the proper observability setup is necessary, but expensive for many companies.
