“Platform Engineering” by @skamille.themanagerswrath.com is an eye opener on many topics.

This is a recommended read, especially to current platform eng leaders and those involved in infrastructure side of things (devops, SREs)

Will share some quotes.

Really like this quote about growth in software eng:

“Making people grow is a key driver to making them happier, more productive, and making them stay longer in your company.
Naturally, this is more challenging for senior devs as let's be honest we are not all big tech, where growth is unlimited..”

Great point on the attitude that platform engineering teams should strive to.

Innovation and experimantation are at danger due to easy to fall traps of being "be-all", "end-all" decision makers.

Last time I wasn't that popular as everyone were super hyped while I was a bit different 🙂.

I feel that tomorrow will be the same.

P.S. I was right last time 🤓

The more people I talk with, more of them are admitting that work from home is affecting their mental health and productivity.

People are moving to offices and leaving their laptops in the office as well, making a clear cut between work and private time.

Claude is on a roll with product updates!

And what's best about it, small simple daily changes that are understandable instantly.

That's the way to do it 💪

"People have a constant nagging sense that they're not working on what they should be, that they "don't have time" for potentially critical activities, and that they're missing out on the timeless sense of meaningful doing that is the essence of stress-free productivity."

So true.
