Spencer Carbery's chief complaint with Trouba's hit on Ryan Leonard is that Leonard was engaged with Olen Zellweger behind the net when Trouba lined him up.

Logan Thompson will be the starter for the Caps tonight against the Bruins. I would expect the goalie usage to be much less of a straight rotation this year, but the Caps don’t want Lindgren to sit on the shelf for too long, either.

Logan Thompson has his personal goalie coach from Calgary, Justin Cardinal, down here to work with him throughout training camp. Thompson said Thursday that Caps goalie coach Scott Murray gave the okay for an extra set of hands, because “sometimes, I can be a little boneheaded.”
