It was a glorious day to ride + walk along the Bay, and having safe, accessible, highly visible #BikeParking at my destination, as well as a safe way to get there? Was core to my spending time there. Otherwise, I would’ve just gotten my race packet mailed and skipped the Hot Chocolate Run Expo.

This is an improvement over last year when “limited metered spots” were available at Sports Basement, motivating drivers to try to get the closer spots, and end up wasting everyone’s time by trapping the 30 @sfmta.com in private car traffic.

But the Sports Basement parking lot was supposed to be entirely closed to cars today and tomorrow! The 30 @sfmta.com has stops near three of the satellite lots listed in the race expo email, and could easily have handled all of the Hot Chocolate Run Expo attendees plus the usual Presidio visitors.

Resnick-owned companies include: POM Wonderful, Fiji Water, Wonderful Pistachios and Almonds, Wonderful Seedless Lemons, Wonderful Halos (yes, those tiny mandarins your kids love, but there are mandarins grown by less rapacious farmers). Of those, Wonderful nuts use the most water by far.
